Australia, Canada Funds Buy 48 Percent Of UK Airport

Australia's Victorian Funds Management Corporation (VFMC) and Canada's Ontario Teachers Pension Plan, bought a combined 48.25 percent stake in the UK's Birmingham International Airport for GBP420 million pounds (USD$837 million).
Lufthansa plans to offer 5.7 percent more seating capacity on its global flight network for the winter season, boosted by increases on US and Asian routes.
Scandinavian Airlines' Finnish unit Blue1 said a domestic flight from Helsinki to Kuopio in eastern Finland turned back on Friday after problems with the hatch of the landing gear.
US airlines have begun to withdraw a revenue-boosting fare increase initiated last week by Delta Air Lines, but it is too soon to say whether the bulk of the increase will last, a fare tracker said on Monday.
